About Us – Jim Milucky CPA


Founder and Principal of Forensic Accounting Services, Inc., Jim Milucky, CPA, has over 30 years of private and public accounting experience including forensic investigative accounting, fraud examination, litigation support, financial management in manufacturing and industry and taxation.
FAS focuses on forensic accounting, fraud investigation, business valuation, litigation support, expert reporting, testimony, taxation and general accounting.

Over the course of a diverse manufacturing and industrial background, Mr. Milucky has developed the ability to adapt to various environments. Mr. Milucky has a keen investigative nature and the ability to distill large volumes of information into clear and concise presentations.

Mr. Milucky’s real world experience consists of financial management “in the trenches” from cost accountant to CFO. He has developed, installed and managed cost accumulation systems in multiple plant locations, reporting to both domestic and foreign owners. Through Mr. Milucky’s efforts, routines and controls were developed and installed, providing increased accuracy and timeliness of financial data reporting.

An accomplished public speaker and author, Mr. Milucky has been a keynote speaker for Rotary International, Beta Alpha Pi, Accounting Honor Society –– Forensic Accounting, University of Alabama at Birmingham, September, 2001 and National Association of Accountants for Cooperatives – Calculation of Damages June, 2001, Orlando, Florida. His most recent publication was The Cooperative Accountant –– Forensic Accounting v. Auditing, Fall 2002,. His other activities include participation in the Mock Trail Program as an expert witness for the Emory University School of Law, Decatur, Georgia.

From advanced degrees, professional designations, certifications, industry recognition, the experience of having ‘walked the walk’ in litigation, financial management, and expert testimony gives Jim Milucky, CPA and the staff of FAS a unique understanding, knowledge and perspective to forensic investigative accounting and litigation support dealing with complex business and individual disputes, legal accounting, tax issues and a variety of damage, and valuation issues in the dispute resolution process.

Mr. Milucky holds both a Master of Accounting from the University of Alabama, Birmingham and Bachelors of Finance degree from University of Northern Colorado, Greeley. Mr. Milucky served as adjunct instructor for the University of Alabama, Birmingham, teaching upper division cost accounting and as an instructor at Snead State Community College teaching Principles of Accounting.

A licensed Certified Public Accountant in Alabama and Georgia, Mr. Milucky is also a Certified Forensic Accountant by the American College of Forensic Examiners, and graduate of the Schools for Assistant and Senior Assistant Bank Examiners – FDIC, Washington, DC.

Memberships include the American College of Forensic Examiners, UAB Alumni Society, Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society, Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Mr. Milucky served as adjunct instructor for the University of Alabama, Birmingham and Snead State Community College.
